Sept 2013 - Ebury Street, or "117"

In mid-September we moved out of our hotel in Slough to a two-bedroom apartment in Belgravia (a London neighborhood directly behind Buckingham Palace).  It wasn't a place we could afford to live long term, but it was fun for a few weeks!  Donnie's school was a short 10-minute walk, and we were in walking distance of all the tourist destinations in Westminster.  The next few weeks we explored a different part of London every weekend to figure out where we wanted to live.  We began with calling our apartment "Ebury Street," but the kids loved counting house numbers when walking home and the cry of "117!" became its new name.

Our apartment.  The best part was the daily room service which included dishes!

Changing of the guard at Buckingham.

Hyde Park

A bakery on our street.  Sarah loves the pink!

Mozart lived in a house down our street.

A nearby hotel.  We love the doormen in their hats.

Wellington Arch

Victoria Station is one city block away.

Our favorite place to eat!

The shops of Portobello Road in Notting Hill

Rugby anyone?

Saint Voldemort?
